Some favorites

Favorite Items of September

1.) Clinique Moisture Surge. I put it on before I put my make up on. I have combination dry skin and this helps me even out the oily parts of my face and give "moisture" to my dry skin. It feels good on your face and lasts a pretty long time.

2.) My mascara is finally out. I know you are suppose to change it every month but mine has kept me for at least 4 months. I didn't notice any nasty stench so I used it daily. It has a dark green container... that's how I know how to pick it out from the Clinique.

3.) I love this shampoo and conditioner. I have dry chemically treated hair and these products give me pretty salon looking hair. And it smells so good which is a plus!

4.) GIFT CARDS!!!!!

5.) Toms! Buy a pair and "Toms" gives a pair of shoes to kids in 3rd world countries.

6.) bumper stickers like this

Why liquid make-up remover sucks and cream remover ROCKS!

1) Liquid make-up remover is messy. It spills all over your make-up bag and is super sticky
This is a picture of me holding a sticky bag of liquid eye make-up remover. It works pretty well but is soooooo messy. I threw it away.

2) This is me (happy) using my cold cream make-up remover. Its so nice to have your make-up come off.... like its suppose to!

3) You have changed my life Ponds cold cream eye make-up remover!

shhhhh........I love you!

line it up

What is something most people don't know? hmm.. I guess I'm part of "most people" so I wouldn't know what most people don't know because I'm "most people." So I don't know what I don't know because I'm one of them. Yeah. Weird.

Anyway, lets start talking about eyeliner. I like eyeliner a lot. I wear all kinds of eyeliner products but my favorite is MAC fluidline liquid eyeliner. I've been wearing it for like 4 years now. It has changed my life. Its super awesome. I usually wear a mac pencil liner on my waterline. (WATERLINE: is the part of skin that your eyelashes grow on. If you lift up your lid and and apply a pencil liner, your eyelashes and eyeliner looks complete) You can find pencil liners anywhere!

Number one rule

I am so surprised at how many people don't wash their face. You must wash your face morning and night. Take all that make up off at night and wash your face. Use something that works well with your skin. You find out what works by trying new stuff out. I'm a big fan of Cetaphil cleaners and Clinique face-wash. And I love love love PONDS cold cream eye make-up remover.
What I do:
1) I use Ponds cold cream and a cotton ball (Not a wash cloth) to gently wipe off my eye shadow, eye liner and mascara
2) I use Kirkland brand moist facial towelettes (from COSTCO) to get the rest of my face make-up off
3) Then its time to wash my face with my Clinique face soap and/or my Cetaphil cleaner
4) lastly, I use a soft wash cloth to pat my wet (CLEAN!) face off

Advice- Be very gentle with your face ESPECIALLY the skin right under your eyes. You don't want sagging, old looking skin when you're only 32.

Next, Using cream eye make-up remover is really gentle on your skin. All those oil removers aren't tough enough to get all that eyeliner and waterproof mascara off. I love the ponds cold cream. Be sure not to use the ponds anywhere else but your eyes. I used it to get my blush and bronzer off one time and I broke out the next day. Use it only on eyes! Be sure to wash your entire face after getting your make up off.

Yup, this would definitely be my number 1 beauty tip. its the first step... besides taking a shower regularly of course. More random tips to come!

Here are pictures of the products I talked about:

A new journey...

Okay, this isn't really a new journey. I created the title for dramatic effect.. Its more like a new hobby that I am about to start.
I dont know how this whole blog thing works. I'm not a very good writer, I'm not some super amazing genius with new insight and I've never been stung by a bee. I'm pretty much a normal-ish girl with interesting ideas. I know about beauty products, clothing/fashion and have a general idea of what common sense is. So this blog is where I will share my wisdom with you!

I guess this is where I tell you a little bit about myself. I don't want to tell you too much because where is the fun in that? I want to be mysterious and super interesting sounding... (Actually its a safety reason) ha! Wanna know more about me and my interesting thoughts? Just follow along as I take you on an epic "Journey"!
